HTML Web Page Templates
This collection was last updated:  August 15 2007 17:15:48

We get far more requests for simple, straightforward, easy to use HTML markup than we do for server side scripting... Pretty much a no-brainer as to what should be added next.

Needless to say, more of our time will be spent on new templates.  All the templates are very reasonably priced, include working graphics as well as .EPS files for customizing and a few "button" graphics as well.

These are great Learning tools for those wanting to learn how to create their own web sites.  That said, we have put many "comments" within each template but, we make the assumption that you at least know your way around a good text editor and the basic structure of an HTML document.

ALL templates have Validated HTML and CSS files and are hand coded (using NoteTab).  They WILL work with Dreamweaver, FrontPage, GoLive and any other HTML editor.

The templates will, in time, range from the Super Simple to quite elaborate.  We'll add to this collection as much and as often as time permits.

Downloads are .ZIP files.

Template: tmp_01
This is a simple Liquid Two Column Template

Templates do not get much more simple than this one yet, if you are entertaining the thought of an online store, you should give this piece consideration.

This particular template is designed to be a Liquid web page, in that the various widths of the displays are based on percentages rather than fixed sizes.  This allows the web page to "Grow" or "Shrink" yet keep it's basic appearance no matter the visitors monitor's resolution setting.

The template itself is tuned so to speak, for viewing with monitor settings at 1024 x 768 pixels.  However, it retains it's simple layout quite well at 800 x 600 pixels.

This same layout in a "Fixed Width" format is available below.

This web template uses only two graphics. Both of which are very small; as far as file sizes are concerned. Of course, you are encouraged to add your own logo and other graphics... The intended use!

Fixed Width Two Column Template

This is a "Fixed Width" version of Template tmp_01 shown above.  The width is 765 pixels.

When viewed with browsers set at 800 x 600 pixels, the content will fill the entire screen.  However, when viewed with browsers set at resolutions more than 800 x 600, the content will be centered in the viewer's browser and subsequently, their monitor.

Users may find this useful if their lay-out requires a static look and may be helpful in maintaning a uniform look to shopping carts.

I have included a border in this template to visually define the area.  Simply remove the border attributes in the CSS file if the border isn't wanted or needed.

Both this template and the Liquid template above could be modified slightly and be used quite nicely for Blogs or News Postings.

This is the Fixed Width version of the Two Column Template above and it too lends itself easily to web site advertising.

Template: tmp_01d

This is a "Liquid"  Three Column template and will fill very near 100% of the viewer's screen with content.

The template lends itself quite well to banner advertising and or Google Adwords or similar revenue producing links from Yahoo or MSN.

This template will also provide a wonderful foundation for your online store by allowing not only product display in the "Center" of the viewer's screen but along BOTH sides... Effectively "framing" your products with Other products: Perhaps as suggestions.

One other aspect of this template, that sets it apart from most other three-column templates is that the content is allowed to "seek" it's own level (width) after it grows below the confines of either (or both) side.  See the screenshots

Users may find this very useful if their content is very lengthy, such as a long news posting or blog entry.

This is the "Fixed Width"  version of the Three Column template shown above. It too will fill very near 100% of the viewer's screen with content... As long as your visitor's screen resolution is set to 800 x 600 pixels.

This particular style and the style shown in Template 01d are my personal favorites.  For those that do a great deal of online reading will soon find that confining the content within the center of the page is generally MUCH easier on the eyes.

Also, this style is exceptional when veiwed at lower screen resolutions (I use 800 x 600 a great deal of the time) as it positions the main content VERY COMFORTABLY, dead center.

Where these styles fails is when a particular page's content is flanked by content that "moves"... VERY distracting and definitely takes away from the overall appearance of your page.

This particular template and the "Fixed" width counterpart both confine the center content column to a fixed width instead of allowing the content to spread after it reaches the confines of the flanking columns.  As mentioned above, depending on content, this may be the preferred method of displaying large amounts of content.

This template also treats the top navigation a bit differently.  In lieu of an HTML table, a standard list, <ul>, is used.  Those using dynamically created navigation or "breadcrumbs" may find this method of navigation much easier to configure.  The same can be done with the "Shopping" table shown below and any of the other navigation links.
