SPAMMER in a Can is intended for website owners and webmasters not comfortable using .htaccess files or that have a need to block only a small number of IP Addresses from having access to a limited number of pages.

However, SpamCan is quite capable of blocking several hundred addresses but, your web pages will suffer some "lag time" as the server parses the banned IP file for the "unwanted".

Obtaining the IP Addresses for individual visitors can be obtained by perusing one's server's "access_log" or "error_log" or, better yet, by harvesting the script generated text files created by SPAMMER Intercept.

Great for putting a stop to "Comment Spammers"

The script itself is incredibly simple.  You'll have it in place in less than 5 minutes.  Providing you can follow well written, drop dead simple instructions and CHMOD a folder and single file.

This script is NOT intended to replace a well formed and implemented .htaccess file and should NOT be used in that manner.
