CapKwiz is NOT intended to be the sole defender of sensitive areas on a web site, nor should it be used to be the Only Defense against intruders trying to gain access to database driven applications.  It IS intended to be a supplement to good input filtering and security coding.

CAPTCHA applications are intended to differentiate between Human and Automated (robot) Form Inputs by requiring the "Human" to copy a string of graphical text into an input form.  All well and good... Sort of.  The "bad guys" have now devised ways of defeating CAPTCHA images to some degree, which of course leads to compromised areas or "SPAMMING" of guest books, forum boards or email applications.

There are also complaints from sight-impaired visitors not being able to use some CAPTCHA applications.

CapKwiz doesn't solve ALL the problems but, it does a very admirable job and IS usable by the sight-impaired who are using specialized browsers.

CapKwiz does not dynamically create the graphics/questions.  A set of 40 "questions" are included in the download.

As you can see by the demo below, we ask NOT for the text shown in the graphic but the ANSWER to the simple math problem.  If the "robot" simply inserts the text shown in the graphic, as they generally do, they'll not get anywhere, as that is Not The Answer!  For Now, only a human can insert the proper response to the graphic's question.

Not perfect by any means, and certainly not all that elegant but, in reality, quite effective.
